Where is Crispy Surf Lessons located?
All surf lessons are taught in Mission Beach.
How do I schedule a surf lesson?
We teach lessons daily and have several designated time slots per day. Feel free to call, text, email, or book your lesson via the website.
What is the youngest child Crispy Surf Lessons teaches for surf lessons?
We teach children as young as five years old. A lot depends on the child's swimming ability and level of comfort in the water.
What are the gratuity policies?
Tipping is optional. If you have a great time and would like to tip your instructor, they are VERY appreciative.
What is the difference between surf lessons and coaching?
Our surf lessons are best for first-time surfers or relatively new surfers who still need hands-on assistance. We also do coaching sessions that are designed for intermediate to advanced surfers who want to take their surfing to the next level.
Do you teach surfing year-round?
Yes, we provide wetsuits year-round to keep you warm.
What if it's raining at the time of my surf lesson?
We will run your lesson if it is light rain, however, if it is pouring we will cancel your lesson. *Crispy Surf Lessons reserves the right to reschedule/cancel any lesson due to dangerous surf or weather conditions.
What is Crispy Surf Lessons cancellation policy?
We understand that things come up! If you need to cancel or reschedule your lesson, you may do so at any time. If you need to reschedule, feel free to request a new time for your lesson without any penalty. However, if you wish to cancel without rescheduling, please be sure to notify us at least 24 hours in advance to avoid any charges. To cancel or reschedule, simply contact us via [text/phone], and we will be happy to assist you.
What should I bring to my surf lesson?
Bring water, sunscreen, a towel, and beach attire.
What is provided at surf lessons?
A 90-minute one-on-one private surf lesson with an expert instructor. Highly recommended for first-time surfers and those looking to improve more rapidly. Lessons start with a 15 min land lesson, which covers the basic fundamentals of surfing and ocean safety. The rest of the lesson will be spent in the water catching waves and being assisted by your instructor!
